Let me start out by saying that I don't use these bags for cleaning up dog poop by hand. I'm not sure that I would use them for that as they seem a bit thin. I scoop the waste from my cat's litter boxes into these bags and they serve their purpose for that. I actually prefer these bags for that use as I have tried others and they did not do as well containing the smell of the cat's pee. I've never had an issue with tearing, but I will say that it seems like these let liquids through. It's not like they have holes in the bag or anything like that, it's almost more like the liquids get absorbed into the plastic somehow. That's really been my only complaint about these bags. I do like that ordering these from Amazon is a better deal than purchasing from Petsmart. Definitely more positive than negative for me and I will continue purchasing this product.
