I’ve been buying this green tea for years. It’s delicious and different than your standard green teas. Tastes like the roasted ones you get at Japanese restaurants. I’d highly recommend it if your a green tea snob like myself!I've enjoyed this Genmai cha tea by the Yamamotoyama brand for several years. As a daily drink, it was very satisfying and soothing. However in the last two orders I have gotten very mixed results for freshness and flavor. I don't know if this is simply a supply chain issue that will straighten itself out soon, or whether this is an onging issue for harvest, or a systemic processing, storage and distribution one. I'd like to see the brand take the opportunity to improve and return to the delightful flavor profile and consistency of the past.nice toasted flavor, good aromaJapanese GenMaicha tea (a fragrant green tea with roasted brown rice) is a delightful beverage, and YamaMotoYama brand is reliably good quality. It is somewhat more expensive than most other teas, but the flavor and aroma can't be beat. The 16 individual bags in each box are sealed in foil pouches to maintain freshness.Note: Making GenMaicha tea at home is not too difficult (instructions for roasting the rice and blending it with the tea are readily available online), but it is a chore and the product is hard to keep fresh. So it's best made in very small batches (i.e., it's a necessarily frequent chore). And the initial quality of the green tea you use is critical (don't skimp!).But these YamaMotoYama quality sealed bags are so much more convenient that they're well worth the price.I steep these for about 2 minutes, as recommended, and while I love the well-rounded flavor, it's never quite as potent as I hope. However, these are a good deal for those who love genmaicha. They're always fresh and brightly flavored. My favorite remains Ito En, though.This is my favorite brown rice tea. I have tried many different brands, some more expensive, some less expensive. But I always come back to Yamamotoyama. I enjoy a delicious cup every morning. I love the aroma, the taste. and the smooth, great flavor. Highly recommend!Headline says it all, really.Word of warning: this is a standard paperboard box, and very easily squished. Shipping & handling is so cheap because it gets put into an envelope, so it likely will get banged up in transit. (Mine made it, but another tea box in the envelope took a beating.) If you're purchasing it as a gift, or will have it out on a counter and the look of it matter to you, maybe pick up a cute-but-cheap box or canister and dump the bags into that.This is great tea at a fair price.Very overpriced from seller. I didnt realize you can purchase this tea for $3.00 at Walmart.ca. Love this tea, excellent flavor! Will be buying it elsewhere.I Have been looking for this tea for a long time. A friend gave it to me and I really liked it. I was so surprised how expensive it is. I told my friend how much I got it and she was surprised too. I like this tea but too expensive so I will not order again. I will just try a different brand then. So expensive.This tea is like the authentic restaurant we go, so delicious and refreshing and calming, to eat with dinner or before bed, is just as good.Délicieux et réconfortant.Swift delivery.
