Bold, but not too strong, smooth not bitter, great flavor. Good plain, with Honey, or a splash of Simply Lemonade. My very favorite tea. I have it hot or this Summer ice cold. I drink it everyday.Short delivery time. Good value.Strong tea, I just love it. Less tea bags needed to brew a pot or pitcher.Disclaimer: not a food or tea critic, and I am "new" to tea after cutting back on coffee due to acid reflux.With supply chains disrupted, I am not always able to find a certain green-labeled Irish Breakfast Tea that's common here on grocery shelves in America. Barry's came up on a search on Amazon, so I decided to give an actual Irish brand a try. And how I wish I had done so before!The smell when opening the box is just wonderful, warm, and inviting. The taste, once steeped, is deep and flavorful, and will NOT turn bitter even when leaving the tea bag in the cup. For me, this is one of the best things about Barry's Irish Breakfast Tea. Since the tea bags do not have drawstrings, and I keep my cup on a mug warmer for a long time while I'm working, I end up oversteeping teas quite often. This may seem like a small, easy fix — why not just remove the tea bag, after all — but if I can continue my work without getting up from my desk and still enjoy a fine tea that will never get too bitter, then I'm in love. And as a sufferer of acid reflux, I can personally vouch after a few cups that this tea is not too acidic and is very smooth going down.So if you want a "set it and forget it" tea that won't be too bitter or acidic, yet still has a strong, smooth Assam scent and flavor, consider this tea. I can't recommend it enough. This is my new favorite breakfast tea.P.S.: Also, invest in a mug warmer!I drink this daily, it’s the only way to start my day off. These are imported from Ireland and the flavor is rich and smooth. A few sugar cubes and splash of almond milk ◡̈Great for when I forgot mine at home while traveling. Was much more expensive than a grocery store, but the convenience was needed. This tea is the best!I like the flavor. You may have to experiment on how long you want the bag in the water to get what pleases you most.Ever since my Mom came back from visiting a friend in Ireland (like 15 years ago) I have been a Barry's Tea fan. I love the flavor - Assam tea. I have had other Assam Teas, but Barry's Teas (Classic, Gold, or Irish) has a boldness and consistency that I have not found in other Teas. Needless to say I am a tea snob.I like how Barry's Irish Breakfast Tea holds it's flavor and boldness even if you add cream or half and half to it. Wonderful tea to make a Steamer with.If you like your tea a bit more bitter, steep Barry's longer. Otherwise 3-5 minutes is perfect.Taste of irelandSecond best to the Barry's Tea original.
