These were helpful during our move to pack, store, and keep fabric items clean and compact. I did learn that they will expand regardless of how carefully we zipped them. If you need them for the storage reduction, the only thing we found to work 100% of the time was to use packing tape once the air was sucked out of them to wrap around a few times both ways so it could not expand. These do work wonderfully to save space (when they don't expand on their own), and it is nice to know that things are kept away from dirt and dust. These are a serious game-changer for closet space and organization. My wife loves them. They work very well! They're huge and, in my opinion, can fit more than described. Just fill the bag, make sure to seal the zipper, and use the vacuum to watch it shrink. My wife says it's so satisfying. SUCH A SPACE SAVER!Here are some tips:- Try to get most of the air out by pressing before sealing.- Use your fingers first to press the zipper closed before using the little clip to seal it.- Make full use of space and the bag by folding your bag in half.- Make sure you fold and place your items (in the bag) in a way that will fit where you will place them. For instance, my wife was using a large plastic bin to store blankets. In order to be sure what she was shrinking would fit into it, she filled the bag, leaving a space in the middle of about 2 inches. Then she folded the bag in half, before sealing it. (Sort of like a taco). Then she placed the unsealed bag in the bin. She sealed the bag, then used the vacuum. That way as it was shrinking, she could maneuver it to fit nicely in the bin. I hope that made sense.- Secure the valve cap.So far, she's had no issues with them re-inflating. This is a great buy!** Use caution when using these plastic bags around children and pets. For those of you keeping score, here's the breakdown:Design- APracticality- AValue- AOverall Grade: Alisten utilize bags in my home so I go through these like crazySo many different brands I have triedI REALLY LIKE THESE1 for some reason they get a lot of the air out where others do not2 they have the clip across the top to help seal yes... this helps start the process you have tp make sure otherwise the entire bag will deflate within an hour.3 the cost!so for me this was a huge success!Used em for a trip, my bag wasn't big enough for a 2.5 month stay overseas. Stuffed all my clothes into these and bam, SOOO much space. Plenty strong so nothing ripped in transit, and I had to open them and revaccume them a lot when I was packing. I was able to bring 3 LARGE winter coats and they took up about as much space as 4/5 pairs of folded pants. If you suck out most the air and stop you have plenty of time to reposition/reshape the bag. Then just finish vacuuming it. I forgot to put the caps on 2 of my bags and they stayed sealed just fine. I'm going to be using these anytime I pack for planes now. Just sooo much easier. All I need to worry about is the weight limit and not space!I got these for packing away clothes and bedding for the season, and also because I'm expecting to be moving within the next year. These did a great job of minimizing the space that my stored clothes took up, and I love that they are sealed away from water and dust.. I'm really happy with these!Have too many pillows and blankets?? Then you need these! This helped me to clear out my linen and now they are vacuum sealed and laying flat under my bed, very impressive.
