A little bit smaller than I expected but held standard paperbacks perfectly. Was disappointed in the fact they didn't seal but tape worked for that. Otherwise strong and well made product. This was exactly what I expected having bought in past.SHIPPING TERRIBLEPackage bent and cut open on one side. Did not affect bags. Disappointed in amazon. As others have noted these bags are for smaller pbks. I can confirm that a 380pp pbk will fit ... if a shoehorn is employed - and it won't slide all the way in to the bottom. 300pp is probably the practical limit. Otherwise no complaints.Works great for protecting my books. Easy to slide on and off.As other reviewers have noted, the 5 “ x 7 3/8 “ BCW polypropylene bags work well for thinner (i.e., under ~ 225 pages) mass market paperbacks. For thicker mass market paperbacks, I recommend getting the 5 3/4 “ x 8 5/8 “ bags from the GT Bag Company, Petaluma, CA. These bags can accommodate paperbacks like the 544-page 1967 edition of ‘Dune’ from Ace Books (see accompanying photo). You also can easily fit two slimmer paperbacks into one GT Bags 5 3/4 “ x 8 5/8 “.A sack of 100 of the GT Bags is slightly more expensive than a sack of 100 of the BCW bags, but the GT Bags feature an adhesive strip on the back of the bag, onto which you can fold and fasten the bag lip. You can purchase the GT Bags in smaller lots (i.e., 100 bags) or in bulk lots (i.e., 1000 bags). The GT Bag 5 3/4 “ x 8 5/8 “ bags are [not] going to accommodate monster-sized mass market paperbacks, like the 1,280-page Brandon Sanderson book ‘The Way of Kings’. I’m guessing a GT Bag 6” x 9” may accommodate such a monster size, but since I don’t buy the Sanderson tomes, I really don’t know. So, if you are looking for plastic bags within which to protect your mass market paperbacks, the above-mentioned bags should meet your needs.I started collecting pulp paperbacks and these fit my thin ones perfectly. If you have a thicker book i recommend another brand. However these have been covering my shadow novelettes as well as my Nero Wolfe books.Exactly what I wanted, a proper fitting bag for some of my paperback books.(INSERT ANY MEME HERE) Okay, specifically I bought these for all my English manga books. In my mind, the brilliant math genius that I am, thought this, these sleeves are 5" and my books are 5", simple math, right? Except there's a z-axis I did not account for (gasp). The sleeves are indeed 5", when laying flat (what a troll). Logically speaking (stay with here). you have to pull the flaps open to slide in your book (giggity), that mighty, unapologetic 5" is now about a noticeably smaller 4.8". Talk about an embarrassing night! No manga's fit. It is unbelievably saddening. All the Dark horse, Viz, etc, their pretty much the same size nowadays, do not fit. I'd have an easier time making baskets are the local fair (oh, how little distance my $15 goes there). I'll have to find some other use for this, maybe for CD's (I have 8 CD's becuase its 2017) and small paperbacks (I have less than 8). Alright, 12 bags down, 88 to go. Maybe I'll use it as tiny trash bags. That'll for sure force me to decrease my carbon footprint lol. C'mon, that was pretty funny. That was AT LEAST Fuller House funny, right? All yolks aside (eeeverywhere you look, everywhere~), be wary if you're buying this for English manga. Perhaps Japanese language manga would work, but probably thinner novels only. Sub par to decent product overall. It's seems a little too thin, which may be prone to rips/tears but only time will tell. The seams rip apart with minimal effort (I'm talking like, literary and baby dozing off to sleep and they're pulling the blanket up, type of strength). Seems to be a result of cheap glue or the gluing process (I'm assuming here, since its been 6 years since I've worked at the Gluing company, as the assistant to the assistant regional manager, and I'll tell ya first, that industry waits for no one, pal). No adhesive backing, requiring you to use tape (I just don't have tape around, they're like AAAA batteries to me). It is a cheaply priced product so don't expect mylite's-quality sleeves. You get 100 for about 6 bucks, that's 6 cents a each (MATH!!) and I wouldn't mind paying 4 cents for each :)))))))) tee-he... Wichard out!~ (its pronounced Richard, stop it, you sound ridiculous)The exact size, perfect thickness. I will buy many more packages of these!
