I spent hours poring over reviews of bags, looking for something to be my go-everywhere constant companion, and finally settled on this bag. It did not disappoint me.Pros:==== * four pockets, most of them nice and big, plus two pen-holders * a durable, adjustable strap * I chose the purple and brown bag, which looks great! Someday it may look very dated and 2011-ish, but, even then, I will still like these colors. * two of the pockets have zippers * I can wear it cross-body or over my shoulder -- both work nicely * it seems VERY durable -- sturdy, durable materials and plenty of stitching -- it is likely to last for years of daily use * the size is exactly right for my stuff. I didn't want a laptop-sized bag, which seems like most of what you can buy these days. * I always worry about my phone getting wet, but not with this bag. The top flap covers everything, which helps protect the contents of the bag from rain, especially my phone.Neutral:======= * I thought I would keep my phone in the lowest pocket on the bag. But without a zipper, my phone kept sliding out of that pocket anytime the bag tilted sideways. However, I found that if I put the phone in a zipper pocket of the bag and don't zip it, that pocket is deep enough to keep the phone from slipping out, even though it's not zipped. I want fast access to the phone, and this works perfectly. * I am female, but I think this bag would look fine on either a man or a woman.Cons:==== * When I first started using it, the bag would balloon up with my stuff, which would pull the strap to slip down off my shoulder, which was very annoying. However, I haven't changed anything, but the bag has stopped doing this, so I guess this has worked itself out, or I got used to adjusting the shoulder strap and don't notice it anymore. * I never clip the outside strap, so the buckle hangs down below the bag, which looks ugly. I'm thinking about getting out the scissors and cutting it off.Overall, after two months of daily use, I am very happy with this bag and would gladly buy it again.-------------Update: December 30, 2013: The strap is starting to fray a little. I am hopeful that these are just the kind of fuzzies that I can clip off.-------------Update: August 11, 2014: The fuzzies all vanished by themselves. I still use this bag every single day, as my go-everywhere companion. It is holding up great! I am very happy with the purchase. I never did clip off the outside buckle and have occasionally found it useful, so I'm glad I left it on.-------------Update: June 30, 2016: I am still using this bag every day, and still very happy with it. The edges of the strap are starting to look threadbare in some areas, but after so many years of daily use that seems reasonable to me. It still looks spiffy -- and surprisingly clean.
