Bans on plastic store bags to hold purchases in grocery, convenience, department, etc. and more stores in Charleston, SC, has forced many of us indoor cat owners to seek an alternative for pan scooping! I imagine the plastic ban is sweeping the nation. I researched many trash bags on here - am so very pleased with the ones I chose. These measure 21"L x 18"W (4 Gal) and the strength of the 1.2 mi are more than enough for cat pan use. I have 6 cats .. I scoop 4 pans at least 2x a day and more often 3x. No doubt these bags will hold the weight and not leak. These feel as though they have some of the stronger plastic in them - sort of like a McDonald's big plastic bag like they use when I buy their salads. I probably could have easily used the 2.6 gal - however - I often toss in the empty cat food cans/uneaten food, and prefer the extra bag length to tie them off to contain odor. I could never have animals and expect them to crawl into a filty pan so I keep them very clean....my animals deserve cleanliness. I am happy! The colors are not a requirement for me but I do like them better than plain old clear or white! I am a real person - not a paid reviewer.
